Mandi Herzig - Teaching Assistant
I have always dreamed of being a teacher and teaching young children. After having 3 children of my own and being a stay-at-home mom I knew my passion was to be in the classroom. There is nothing better then to see a child’s face when they learn something new or master an activity they couldn’t do before. I believe that as parents we are our children’s first teacher and must do all that we can to foster our child’s love of learning. We must work together with our children’s teachers to provide a solid foundation for their future.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree Magna cum Laude from Bay Path College where I majored in Business, although I concentrated on early childhood education for part of my time there. I am currently enrolled at Asnuntuck Community College where I will receive my Early Childhood Education Certificate by the summer of 2012. Before coming to Here Wee Grow! Preschool I spent my time as Secretary of the Enfield MOMS club, Girl Scout Daisy and Brownie Leader, and served as the Fundraising coordinator on the Home and School Board at St. Bernard School.

I have lived in Enfield for 8 years and have 3 children. Emalie is 8 and will be going into third grade at St. Bernard
School, Tyler is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten at St. Bernard School, and my daughter Madilyn is 4 and will begin the Pre-K program at Here Wee Grow.

When I’m not busy with my children’s activities or volunteering, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with my family.
